BAGS is one of few vertically integrated glazing subcontractors in the U.S. We design, engineer, and manufacture our own proprietary unitized curtain wall systems in-house, allowing for complete quality assurance every step of the way.

Bagatelos Architectural Glass Systems, Inc. remains owned and operated by Chris Bagatelos, who established the company in February of 1999 in Sacramento, California.

History

Chris Bagatelos and his brother entered the glazing business in 1988 through a partnership with their father, industry veteran Gus Bagatelos. Together, they founded Commercial Window Systems (CWS). Previously, Gus had spent 30 years at CobbledickKibbe Glass Co., then the largest glass and glazing employer in Northern California.
CWS grew to become a multi-million-dollar glass installation subcontractor, and within a few years, the Bagatelos family had established themselves as the local go-to provider
in the Sacramento Area.

After 11 years running and operating CWS, an opportunity arose. The iconic Ziggurat, a ten-story, stepped pyramid office building on the Sacramento River, hired the Bagatelos family to be the design-build glazing subcontractor. After the success of this landmark project, Chris and his brother decided to expand from smaller office buildings to larger multi-story high-rise and significant institutional projects. With this goal in mind, they launched Bagatelos Architectural Glass Systems Inc.

BAGS has established itself as one of the premier glazing sub-contractors in California.

Capabilities

BAGS designs, engineers, fabricates and installs exterior facades for complex multistory buildings, and we have earned a reputation for fostering innovation and completing projects on-schedule and on-budget.

BAGS embraces the Lean Methodology of continuous improvement combined with respect and appreciation for our dedicated team members. Our remarkable staff comprises experienced designers, structural engineers, and project managers, supported by union-based manufacturing and installation teams.

We are completely vertically integrated, with two manufacturing plants in California and project managers in multiple offices throughout the state. Completing the majority of our fabrication in-house allows the company more flexibility, better informed project managers, enhanced quality control, and faster fabrication schedules.

Our two California manufacturing plants serve as the heart of the company, providing the team over 100,000 sq. ft. of interior space and four acres of storage yard to fabricate, assemble and glaze.
