Project Highlights
- The LAX Automated People Mover (APM) is an electric train system on a 2.25-mile elevated guideway with six stations – three outside the terminal loop and three inside, between the LAX consolidated Rental Car Facility and the Central Terminal Area.
- This build is a half of the planned $5.5 billion Landside Access Modernization Program (LAMP) that began in 2018 and expected for completion in 2023.
- Late 2019 will see the construction begin on the six stations, which will include the APM trains, elevators, escalators and moving sidewalks.
- The project command center is planned to generate half its power from solar energy and is designed to be LEED Gold Certified.
Project Scope
- BAGS main scope of work will consist of Custom 4’ x 9’ Wind Screens, cantilevered on tube steel at each concourse level.
- Another significant portion of this project will include 112 Horton doors into a custom designed Barrier Wall system by BAGS.
